Annie always had a passion for not only just regular shooting but also hunting. Annie Oakley was one of the first women to be famous for her sharp shooting. With her .22 caliber rifle at 90 feet she could slip a playing card and puncture it with five or six more rifle shots before it hit the ground. Her career started at a competition shoot out against Frank E. Butler. Frank, five years older than Annie lost the contest. Eventually they would marry. Frank was associated with Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show when Buffalo Bill met Annie and saw how well she shot he wanted her to join the show. Annie soon became famous for her shooting. Annie gained the nickname “Little Sure Shot” from Sitting Bull, and she never failed that name. She went on many tours to Europe and France and performed for the Queen of England and many other famous people. Annie played a huge roll in inspiration for people who wanted to shoot like she could. At the age of 60 she could still shoot just as good as she ever had and to prove it she shot 100 glass bottles in the air and hit them all! After Frank died Annie left Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show and just shot for fun when ever she could. Six years after Frank’s death Annie passed away on Nov. 3rd, 1926 at the age of 66. I believe Annie Oakley was a person of fame because she was a sharp shooter at a time when woman were expected to stay home and take care of families.

Dear Annie Oakley,
I think it is amazing that you were one of the very first women to become famous for being a sharpshooter. I also think it is amazing that you could shoot so well, being able to puncture bottles and the thin sides of cards. The one question I have to ask you is, when you could not shoot while you were in the city living with your sister except for going to the shooting range every once and a while, how did you maintain such a good shot for not being able to practice every day at such a young age?

Fausto Vitello

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_0JmNhFL2bP8/R4aMq8T_rQI/AAAAAAAAATA/so_symI786w/s320/27vitello_190.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5153961492944497922" />

Fausto Vitello
Fausto Vitello is famous for making skateboarding famous again. Martin Luther King Jr. was born January 15, 1929 he had been killed on April 4, 1968 he was 39 years old. Martin had one sister and one brother he was the first boy. Martin lived in Atlanta, Georgia. He was first named Michel Luther King Jr. but then changed it to Martin Luther King Jr. Martin said that he had a dream that his four children will live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of there skin but the content of their character. He wanted whites and African American to get along. So that we can have the same respect for each other. Martin Luther King Jr. helped the nation know that it doesn’t matter the color of skin you have.

Dear Martin Luther King Jr.,

I think that it is great that you wanted all whites and African Americans to get along. You have really made a difference to this nation. Now whites and African Americans get along and there are no fights between us. Some people still don’t get along but mostly everyone is ok with the other people. We don’t have to use different water fountains or different bathrooms or anything like that.

From,
Bekka Hunter

Ted Williams

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_0JmNhFL2bP8/R4aEPcT_rOI/AAAAAAAAASw/CUfFFk8V0q8/s320/250px-Ted_Williams.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5153952224405073122" />

Ted Williams is one of the greatest baseball players ever to play. He was born on August 30, 1918 in San Diego, California. He went to Herbert Hoover High School, and played baseball for the team. While he was still in high school he got a lot of offers from the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals, but he knew he was too young so he signed with the Padres which were a minor league team at the time. On April 20, 1939 he signed with the Boston Red Sox, he was a huge impact as he took 4th in MVP balloting and leading the American League in RBIs. He went into the last day of the season with a .3995 which rounded up to .400, making him the first to hit .400 since Bill Terry in 1930. He owns the record for the most on base percentage, and he was granted the MVP award in 1946 and 1949. He made the All-Star team 17 times. On July 5, 2002 he died and there was no funeral, his son had him flown Alcor Life Extension Foundation where his head was removed from his body and placed in two separate locations.

Dear Ted Williams,

I believe you are one of the best all around baseball players to play baseball. I’m not a Boston Red Sox fan, but I think you are one of the best players. I think you are the best because you started playing at the age of 21. You immediately had an impact on the American League, leading them in RBIs and coming in 4th in the MVP ballots. You batted .3995 when you were just starting out. You made 17 all-star teams and in 1946 and 1949 you were awarded MVP. You own the most on base percentage. My questions are who was your role model growing up? How were you able to have a great career?

Sincerely,
Curtis Meiers

Eddie Guerreo

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_0JmNhFL2bP8/R4U7msT_rNI/AAAAAAAAASo/8rM6BsK39CA/s320/eddie_guerrero.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5153590884511493330" />

Eddie Guerrero was born on October 9th 1967 in Juarez, Mexico and died on November 13th 2005. Eddie was a terrific Hispanic wrestler. There is little doubt that Eddie Guerrero was destined to be a wrestler almost before he was born. He was a wrestler for 30 years. Eddie had quite a few nicknames including: Latino Heat, Black Tiger, and Mascara Magica. Guerrero debuted in 1987 in Mexico's EMLL promotion. He competed primarily in six man tag matches with his brothers for the first few years. The trio of Eddie, Chavo and Mando teamed to win the World Wrestling Association's World Trios Title in Tijuana, Mexico on July 28th, 1989. By 1992, Eddie was wrestling under a mask as Mascara Magica (Magic Mask). It was in this guise that Eddie won his first singles title, the WWA Welterweight Championship. Eddie's inner demons began to get the better of him. In June 2001, Eddie was sent to rehab after showing up "unable to perform." In November, Eddie was arrested for drunk driving and was released from the WWE. In February 2002, Eddie came back to the spotlight, competing on a WWA pay-per-view "Revolution" where he defeated Psychosis and Juventud Guerrera for the WWA International Cruiserweight title. In March, he competed for New Japan Pro Wrestling. In April 2002, he returned to WWE television, attacking Rob Van Dam on an edition of Raw, and defeating RVD three weeks later for the Intercontinental title at the Backlash pay-per-view. Eddie faced Rey at the Great American Bash saying that he would forget about the secret if Rey could defeat him one more time. Rey came out victorious, only to have Eddie reveal the secret (that he was Dominic's father) anyways. After social workers became involved, Rey met and defeated Eddie at Summer Slam in a ladder match for custody of Dominic. Undaunted Eddie would finally defeat Rey in a cage match on Smackdown in September He was a wrestler that all wrestling fans will surely remember forever. Eddie was found dead on Sunday, November, 13th 2005 he was found dead in his hotel room No cause of death has been reported, Guerrero is survived by his wife Vickie and three daughters: Shaul, 14, Sherilyn, 9, and Kaylie Marie, 3.

Dear Eddie,

Hello, I wish you would have never die but things happen for a reason so no one could have stopped what happened. Why were you so interested in wrestling that you were a wrestler for 30 years? I miss you not only because you were a great wrestler but because you were also a good person. I thought that I would let you know.
Your friend,
Alyssa

Mitch Hedberg

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_0JmNhFL2bP8/R4U6ZcT_rMI/AAAAAAAAASg/ZK0Ss1BTzLM/s320/mitch_hedberg_3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5153589557366598850" />

Mitch Hedberg was a comedian of the 1980s. He was on several shows including The David Letterman Show, Comedy Central Presents, Late Night with Conan O’ Brian, and Crank Yankers. You wouldn’t really say he was much of a hero, bit he probably inspired a lot of today’s comedians. He had a lot of funny jokes. One was: A guy walks into a bar with jumper cables. The bartender says, "You can come in, but don't start anything!”. Another goes like: A man goes into a bar with a giraffe, they both get a couple of rounds in. When they get up to leave they're extremely drunk and the giraffe passes out and falls over. The man opens the door, about to leave by himself, when the bartender stops him suddenly and says, "Hey! You can't leave that lyin' there!" The man turns around and slurs, "Don't be silly, that's not a lion, that's a giraffe!” My favorite is: I got a belt on that's holding up my pants, and the pants have belt loops that hold up the belt. What's going on here? Who is the real hero? Unfortunately, he died on March 29, 2005.
Hey, Mitch!!!
I love your comedy and your jokes. You have inspired me to do what you do, and I think I could do it. You are just awesome. You have probably inspired more people than me. It would be really cool if you could give me some pointers. And if you have a MySpace account or e-mail, it would be really cool if we could talk on one of those two ways instead of sending letters to each other. It takes less time on e-mail or MySpace.
A Big Fan of Yours,
Nick Hintz
P.S. It would be really really cool if you could make a joke for me.

Queen Elizabeth II

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_0JmNhFL2bP8/R4U5MsT_rLI/AAAAAAAAASY/0ypfgmJtAb0/s320/Queen%2520Liz%5B1%5D.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5153588238811638962" />
Queen Elizabeth II

Queen Elizabeth ii was ascended to the throne on February 6, 1952 when her father king George VI died. He died in May 17 1886. John Deere first made a plow that you hooked up to a horse whale you fallow behind it and push down. His relatives started to make tractors. They named it John Deere because the plows John Deere made sole a lot. Once the tractor they started to get more advanced. After John Deere made so many tractors that many more tractor companies were made like Massey Harris, International, farmal, and even a ford tractor was made. Many tractors were soled.

Dear Mr. John Deere,
I am righting a biography about you and your tractors. I also made a slide snow of your tractors. My dad has one of your tractors. It was old and beat up but he made it look like new. Last year my dad, mom and I went to a tractor show. We did not win but we had fun. They Had food and games. They had a big hay bail and you had to guess how heavy it was. I wished you could be there. My dad and I are going next year. Elvis had a nickname “The King”. He had the most gold singles. He was also the first official rock star. But he also sang gospel, blues, pop, and ballads. He had songs from “Hound Dog” to “Jail House Rock”. Elvis also starred on the ED Sullivan Show. Elvis also had a history of drugs because he had migraines. Any medication he got he always used too much than he was supposed to. Elvis was in over thirty movies and most were unsuccessful musicals. When Elvis was younger many kids made fun of him for playing “hillbilly music” and thought he was a shy and sad child. When he was only ten he won second place in a singing competition. Also some of his hobbies were singing in church and playing the guitar also piano. When he was older most of the songs he liked were by African American composers or guitarists. He was a teen idol and a roll model for generations of rebels.

Dear Elvis,
I have one question why did you do drugs? Any way I think you are one of the biggest iconic people. It is amazing how many gold singles you had. And it was also amazing how many different fans you had because of your songs.
From: K.C.

HH Holmes- Torture Doctor

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_0JmNhFL2bP8/R4U0-MT_rII/AAAAAAAAASA/FPYl-dEDspc/s320/hhh.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5153583591657024642" />

H.H. Holmes
H.H. Holmes was America’s first serial killer. He was called the Torture Doctor. H.H. Holmes was born in Gilman town New Hampshire where he went to medical school. He moved to Chicago in the 1820’s. He started working as a pharmacist. He made a deal with his bosses wife that when his boss died Holmes would get their store. They lived in their store so she was a little reluctant, but when he said that he would take care of her when she was old, she agreed. When his boss died, his wife gave Holmes the store. That same night, Holmes murdered her in her sleep. He then started putting up wanted signs to find workers to build his Hotel. A lot of people applied, and he couldn’t hire them all, so he hired about ¼ of them. The law said at that time that by firing his workers every week, he didn’t have to pay them, so he didn’t lose any money. When he was done, “The Castle” was complete with trap doors, a secret room for illegal abortions, a stretcher, trap doors leading into the furnace and sometimes acid pits, a bank vault, a gassing chamber, doors that only opened on one side, and a room where he would strap people to a chair and cut them up with a razor. He would show the people into their rooms lock them in and gas them. Sometimes he would lock them in a bank vault (cutting their oxygen supply off) and listen to then scream until they suffocated. When he killed everyone, he would dismember them, burn their skin, and sell their organs, and skeletons to medical schools. He also used the stretcher to try to create a race of giants, but they just got ripped in half. In his illegal abortions room, he would just kill the woman when he was giving the abortion. He killed over 350 people.

Dear H.H. Holmes,
Why did you register as H.H. Holmes? Holmes isn’t even your last name!!! Your real name is Herman Webster Mudget!!! What I dint understand is wouldn’t your workers turn you in or something? And also I just don’t know why the medical school didn’t get suspicious of 350 dead people!!!
Your ……..uuuuhhhh……..I don’t know……something, Blade

Tony Williams

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_0JmNhFL2bP8/R4PqR8T_rGI/AAAAAAAAARw/N44x8t0HOiQ/s320/TonyWilliams.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5153219992610647138" />

Tony Williams was born on December 12, 1945 he became one of the best Jazz Drummers in America and then he made his own band with a guy named John McLaughlin on guitar and a man named Larry Young on the Organ. Then he had a reunion to go meet his old band. Then Tony Williams died in February 23, 1997 after having a heart attack.

Dear Tony Williams,

You had one of the best jazz bands of all the jazz people out there and now you have died of a heart attack and now your gone and you won’t be writing any songs anymore. Your band called the ‘The New Life of Tony Williams’ was an awesome band and you use to have another band and the album to your old band was Emergency and that had a lot of good songs of the jazz, R&B, and rock and that is a very good CD. Remember that I will always be your number one fan any how your dead or alive you are always the best Musicians.

You’re Fan,
Ron Christiansen

Agis II

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_0JmNhFL2bP8/R4PpJcT_rFI/AAAAAAAAARo/WLA0gV6GT5E/s320/agis+the+II.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5153218747070131282" />

Agis the II

Agis the II was a Spartan king. Sparta is an ancient city in Greece wiped out by the Persians. He lived 450 to 427 B.C. He commanded every thing in the city and fought in a great war called Peloponnesian war. He had a step brother named agesilaus and an older brother named archidamus who should have taken the throne but died. He was a better ruler over the Spartan kingdom than his father. He had a step brother named agesilaus and an older brother named archidamus who should have taken the throne but died. Agis led the Spartans to fight the Peloponnesian war and started it. After the war he signed a peace treaty with them called peace of Nicias. Unfortunately the peace treaty only lasted for four months before the Spartans came back for the land and took it because they are indignant.

Dear agis the II
I would like to know how you are and how you liked to rule. Was it all about the power or the honesty we have today. How did you get the fighting style for the Spartans. How did you command your troops for attacks and did you bring food on your trips to war or did you have to find it out there. I am good and we don’t fight with spears and swords we have guns now that automatically fire except you have to pull a trigger and it is not a cross bow. How was it fighting in a war called Peloponnesian War. Were any of your soldiers scared to go or were you scared. What kind of places did you conquered on your quest for land and people to join you.
Your friend chance

Benjamin Franklin

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_0JmNhFL2bP8/R4PoMsT_rEI/AAAAAAAAARg/QFcW5XKDXbk/s320/ben_franklin.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5153217703393078338" />

Benjamin Franklin
Benjamin Franklin was one of the most important Founding Fathers of the United States. He became famous for being a scientist, an inventor, a printer, a musician. He was a major scientist that spent most of his time studying electricity. He invented the glasses that let you see things Far away and close. He had wire on a kite string and a key at the end of the string and had lighting strike it. He was interested in simple tunes. He played the violin, harp, and guitar. He also invented the armonica which is played by touching the edge of the spinning glass with dampened fingers. He was newspaper editor, printer and merchant in Philadelphia he became very wealthy on the newspaper. He schooled him self because they did not teach in reading and writing. That is why he is one of most important Founding Fathers.

Dear Benjamin Franklin,
I am your #1 fan. I have always wondered how you got that electricity with that kite. I am fascinated with electricity just like you. How did you make the armonica? It looks like a big lazar. What were you thinking of when you got the idea of capturing the lightning. I did not know that you were an author and a printer for a newspaper. That is why I am #1 fan.

Selena

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_0JmNhFL2bP8/R4Pk6MT_rDI/AAAAAAAAARY/sX3PtzfcWQI/s320/Selena.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5153214087030615090" />

Selena Quintanilla
Selena Quintanilla was an extremely popular Mexican-American singer. Would you approve of the new companies?

Your Friend,
Kory Nelson

Johnny Unitas

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_0JmNhFL2bP8/R4PhysT_rBI/AAAAAAAAARI/wY5n-fhppKo/s320/unitasstatue.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5153210659646712850" />

Johnny Unitas

Johnny Unitas was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania in 1933. In his four years with Louisville Unitas completed 245 passes for 3,139 yards and 27 touchdowns. Holmes
H.H. Holmes was the first cereal killer, in 1893 during the world fair in Chicago he trapped and murdered hundreds in his “hotel”. In his Chicago murder castle there were gas pits, lime traps, acid pits, and rooms with gas tubes to asphyxiate the victims he would also perform illegal abortions and due to the procedures the mother and baby would often die; he then sold the skeletons to medical schools claiming they died and no one claimed them. He was born in Gilmanton, New Hampshire. On July 8, 1878 Holmes married Clara A. Lovering of Alton, New Hampshire. On January 28, 1887, he married Myrta Z. Belknap in Minneapolis, Minnesota; he was still married to his first wife. He also had a relationship with Julia Smythe, the wife of Ned Connor, a former employee of his who fled Chicago. Julia would later become one of his victims. He was accused of only 27 murders and charged with only nine.

Dear H.H. His father, Alois Hitler, was a custom official business. Adolf had gone to the World War 1 in the Bavarian. When he was there, he would draw cartoons for the army newspaper. He received a medal for bravery. It was the Iron Cross. When he was an adult he had caused the holocaust. He would take Jewish people and kill them. One way he would is that he would say he would let them take a shower. When they were in there he would let them take a shower for a little while then, the lights would go out, and then turn back on again. When they turned back on, gas would fill the room through vents, or they would take a shower in acid. After they would die he would have soldiers take their precious items like gold. Then, he would burn their bodies in a giant pit. Adolf Hitler died on April 30, 1945, and the holocaust was over.

Dear Adolf Hitler,
I know that you had started the holocaust and I want to know why you did it. Not many people are racist. I mean you did not have to kill all the Jews that you did. They are people too. You could have just left them alone if you did not like them. You could have just kept far away from them. As much as you hated them I bet they hated you a lot more. You really did not have to take their items and burn them if they were not valuable. Well I’m trying to say that is why did you do it. Jews will keep on coming back and will never stop.
Sincerely,
Christian Hunter

Sacagawea

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_0JmNhFL2bP8/R36gGcT_qrI/AAAAAAAAAOI/22FkPuDA_A4/s320/Sacagawea2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5151731056298142386" />

The Amazing Journey

Most people have heard of Sacagawea they are perhaps not familiar with her amazing life story. Sacagawea was a Shoshone Indian who was born in 1778 in Three Forks, Montana. She traveled throughout Montana and other areas of western Montana. She was captured by Hidatsa Indians when she was 10. She was taken to their camp in North Dakota, there she was put to work as a slave with other captures Native Americans, working to gather firewood, water, skin and dry animal skins, and cook food. Around age 14 she was sold to a slave owner, Toussaint Charbonneau. In the year of 1804 she was taken to a US Discovery Area and was used as a Guide. She was chosen to guide because she knew most of the languages of many of the Native Americans that they would meet on their way. This was the time that she met the famously known Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. She helped these two men on their journey for over 2,000 miles, through forests, over oceans, across rivers, and through and over much other treacherous land. Through her amazing life she died in 1812 at the age of 24. William Clark became the legal guardian of her two children.

Dear Sacagawea,

If you hadn’t gotten captured at such a young age what would you have done with the rest of your life? Did you ever wish that you could’ve done something other than be a Native American? Did you ever get married? How many miles did you travel with Lewis and Clark? Also how many Native American Tribes did you meet along the way? Well you were very interesting to learn about so by.

Sincerely,Alyssa Morris

Mary Pickford

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_0JmNhFL2bP8/R36e5MT_qqI/AAAAAAAAAOA/j5xgrG3KvaM/s320/f_AnimeAnglesm_56f5815.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5151729729153247906" />

Mary Pickford was born on April 8, 1892, in Ontario, Canada. Her parents where actors and they wanted her to follow in their footsteps. She started acting at age six in her first production. Then, after a lot of different stage plays, in 1909, she starred in a film as a girl, Dorothy Nicholson, in a film called Mrs. Jones Entertains. Then she signed a contract with biograph. The next year she appeared in Fifty one films, almost one a week. Then in 1910 it was no easier, that year she starred in 49 films. Then in 1911 she left biograph to work with Carl Laemmle. Then the next year she left Carl and went back to biograph, because she only put out 27 films as to the 49 she put out in 1910. By now Mary was 20 and had put out 176 films. Then in 1913 she only put out four movies. That was ok with Mary though because now she was filming and producing films. Then in 1920 she was only in two films, but she helped create the United Artist Pictures, a studio that made many great films in the next 60 plus years. The it was bought from by the MGM. She was more than an actress; she was also a producer and a director. And on top of all that, she was also one of the 36 founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts. Finally at the age of 43 she made her last film, in 1934. Then her career ended in 1935. Her career lasted from 1908 to 1935; she put out 236 films in that time. Later in 1976 she got awarded a Oscar for Lifetime Achievement. Later, that same year in 1976 Mary died on May 29th. She died of cerebral hemorrhage, in Santa Monica, California. She was 87 when she died.

Dear Mary,

Why I chose you is because, I thought that it was interesting that you put out so many films in one year. I also thought that it was fascinating that you were a director as well as an actress. You also have many photos of you acting in your first movies that are very good. What was very impressive was that your parents were actors, and you starting acting at the age of six. That is why I chose you to write this practical arts report you.

Sincerely, Midnight

Coco Chanel

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_0JmNhFL2bP8/R36dhMT_qpI/AAAAAAAAAN4/OH2pEMKOJVY/s320/coco+chanel+1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5151728217324759698" />
Coco Channel
She was born in 1912 and lived her life doing what she loved most .She was a very famous writer who wrote many books including the books listed below
I Am America and So Can You
A Thousand Splendid Suns
Other than her writing passions she is also a famous fashion designer and made dresses to perfumes for woman.
